Care instructions
Afin de garantir les meilleures performances de sertissage et durée de vie de la pince à sertir, les consignes d’entretien suivantes
doivent être respectées :
• Nettoyer la pince à sertir, afin d’éliminer toute poussière, trace
d’humidité ou autre résidu à l’aide d’un chiffon non pelucheux
ou d’une brosse souple propre.
• Ne pas utiliser d’agents abrasifs ou agressifs.
• Inspection visuelle régulière de la zone de profil, à la recherche
de dommages ou traces d’usure.
• Lorsque la pince à sertir n’est pas utilisée, l’entreposer dans un
lieu sec et propre.
To ensure best crimp performance and crimping pliers service life
the following care instructions shall be met:
• Clean the crimping pliers from dust, moisture and other residues using a clean, soft brush or lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any harsh or abrasive agents.
• Regular visual inspection of the profile area regarding damage
or wear.
• When crimping pliers are not in use, store them in a clean and
dry place.

Intended use
Les présents outils à main sont en place pour fournir un excellent
sertissage des connecteurs PV de Stäubli� Les sertissages
doivent être effectués uniquement sur des câbles hors tension�
The present hand tools are in place to deliver crimp excellence
for Stäubli PV connectors with cables� Crimpings shall be carried
out only in de-energized state of the cables�
L’outil à main N’EST PAS adapté à un travail sous tension
(CEI 60900)�
The hand tool is NOT suitable for Live working (IEC 60900)�
Ouverture d‘urgence de la pince à sertir
Crimping pliers emergency opening
Outil indispensable pour toute ouverture d’urgence :
Tournevis plat à pointe fine, par exemple 3 × 75 mm
Required tool for emergency opening:
Screwdriver with fine tip e.g. 3 × 75 mm
Objectif: ouverture d’urgence de la pince à sertir
Goal: crimping pliers emergency opening.
Etape de l’action:
• Tourner la vis avec le tournevis
(sens ou sens inverse des aiguilles d’une montre).
Résultat :
• Le mécanisme de verrouillage se desserre.
Action step:
• Turn the screw with the screwdriver
(clockwise/counterclockwise).
Result:
• The locking mechanism loosens.
Remarque :
Une fois que la pince à sertir a été ouverte à l’aide de
l’ouverture d’urgence, le sertissage métallique en cours doit
être jeté.
Note:
Once the crimping pliers have been opened using the
emergency opening, the metal crimp in process needs to be
discarded.
Remarque:
Aucune action particulière n’est nécessaire pour utiliser à
nouveau la pince à sertir après une ouverture d’urgence.
Note:
No special action necessary to use the crimping pliers for
any next crimp operation following an emergency opening.

• Ouvrir la pince à sertir (serrer à fond
puis relâcher).
• Introduire les deux matrices de sertissage
• Le marquage doit être du même côté
que le marquage de la pince à sertir.
• Fermer la pince à sertir. Visser les
deux matrices de sertissage.
• Mais veiller à ne pas dénuder les têtes
des vis et à placer chaque vis au bon
endroit.

• Insert both crimping dies.
• The markings must be on the same
side as the marking on the crimping
pliers.
• Close crimping pliers and screw both
crimping dies.
• But take care not to strip screw
heads and to put each screw in its

(C) vers le haut.
• Relacher l’étrier (K).
• Le contact est fixé.

The crimp terminals shall not be released from the crimping pliers under
force. They should come out easily.

Confirmer que:
• Tous les brins sont enfermés
• Le sertissage n’est pas déformé et que les languettes soient
présentes
• Le sertissage soit symétrique
• Une « brosse » de brins conducteur est visible sur la face de
contact du sertissage.
Confirm that:
• All of the strands have been captured in the crimp sleeve
• The crimp sleeve is not deformed or missing any portion of the
crimp flaps
• That the crimp is symmetrical in form
• A “brush” of conductor strands are visible on the contact side
of crimp.
