Does the screen remain permanently lit?

The behavior of the screen lighting depends on the power mode used:

  • On mains power (DC 5V adapter): The screen can remain permanently lit. Brightness can be adjusted to 5 different levels.
  • On batteries: The lighting is not permanently active to save energy. After 7 seconds of inactivity, the screen goes into energy-saving mode. However, the backlight can be activated temporarily for about 7 to 15 seconds by pressing the SNOOZE/LIGHT key.
