How to resolve 'error 9' by inserting labels and cleaning the sensor on a Compa II printer?
Error 9 indicates that no labels are detected. To resolve this, unlock the print head by turning the lever counter-clockwise, feed the label strip under the return axis and through the sensor, then lock the head. If labels are present, clean the detection sensor by sliding it out and wiping the detectors with a brush or sponge soaked in pure alcohol. Do not use sharp objects or solvents.
