What do the -2, -1, +1, and +2 markings on the device's top left indicate?
These numbers refer to manual exposure compensation, allowing for voluntary adjustment of exposure levels. Smaller numbers decrease exposure, while larger numbers increase it.

What does it mean when red lines appear near a shutter speed indicator in A mode?
In A (Aperture Priority) mode, the camera automatically selects the shutter speed. A blinking LED indicating a dangerous shutter speed for handheld shooting (1/30 sec or slower) suggests a risk of camera shake. To avoid this, either turn the aperture ring towards f/1.7 until the LED outside the danger zone lights up, stabilize the camera, or use flash.

What does DEL mean on the camera display, and does a lit DEL indicator signify an incorrect aperture setting?
DEL stands for Light Emitting Diode. If an LED is blinking in A mode, it can indicate overexposure, a slow shutter speed potentially causing camera shake, or settings that are out of range. A lit or blinking LED does not necessarily mean an incorrect aperture zone, but indicates a need to adjust settings for correct exposure and prevent issues.
