How to decrease multiple stitches on a knitting device?
Here's how to decrease multiple stitches, depending on the type of needle bed:
-
Single needle bed:
- Transfer the first stitch from the carriage side to the neighboring needle.
- Pull this needle up until both stitches pass behind the latch.
- Wrap the yarn you are knitting with twice around the needle so that it is once behind and once in front of the latch.
- Pull the needle down until the old stitch and yarn pass over the closed latch to form a new stitch.
- Transfer the new stitch to the next needle and continue in the same way. This process is only possible on the carriage side.
-
Double needle bed:
On the carriage side, using the double-eyed needle, transfer the desired number of stitches from the rear needle bed to the needles of the front needle bed. Then, proceed as with a single needle bed.
