SÉCURITÉ
•A
TTENTION ! Lors de l’ouverture du système de refroidissement ; les systèmes de refroidissement peuvent
être toujours sous pression et du liquide de refroidissement chaud peut jaillir et provoquer des brûlures.
• Avant le démontage de la pompe ou des adaptateurs, évacuez la pression.
• Après le test de pression ou encore après la réparation, remettez du liquide de refroidissement jusqu’au
niveau requis et vérifiez l’efficacité contre le gel.
• ATTENTION ! Lorsque vous travaillez sur des moteurs en marche ; les vêtements amples peuvent être
happés par des pièces de moteur en rotation.

MODE D’EMPLOI
1. Vérifiez l’étanchéité du système de refroidissement
• Retirez le couvercle d’origine du radiateur ou du vase d’expansion.
• Sélectionnez l’adaptateur approprié dans le kit de test et reliez-le au radiateur ou au vase
d’expansion.
• Reliez ensuite la pompe (1) à l’adaptateur.
•
Actionnez la pompe de test jusqu’à ce qu’une pression de 10 à 15 psi soit atteinte.
(voir la fig. 1+2).
ATTENTION : Evitez une pression de 35 psi ou plus!
Vérifiez le manomètre. Si la valeur affichée baisse, le système de refroidissement présente une
fuite. Les fuites se manifestent par une chute de pression et par de l’eau sortant à l’endroit de la
fuite.
2. Vérifiez l’étanchéité du couvercle de radiateur
• Retirez le couvercle d’origine du radiateur
• Choisissez l’élément de raccordement (30 ou 31) plus le bouchon adapté pour relier la
pompe à l’élément de raccordement. Reliez le couvercle de radiateur d’origine existant à
l’élément de raccordement de manière à avoir un montage similaire à la fig.3.
• Actionnez la pompe de test à plusieurs reprises et observez le manomètre pour détecter
une éventuelle fuite.
• Comparez la pression mesurée aux valeurs de pression standard du couvercle de radiateur
MAINTENANCE/STOCKAGE
•R
eliez la pompe à main à l’adaptateur. Actionnez la pompe à main à plusieurs reprises, cela
permet d’évacuer le liquide de refroidissement résiduel de l’adaptateur.
• Versez quelques gouttes d’huile dans la pompe à main à travers le raccord afin de lubrifier le
piston.

AUTION: When opening the cooling system, it may still be under pressure and hot coolant may spill
and cause burns.
• Before disassembling the pump or adapters, relieve the pressure.
• After the pressure test or after the repair, return coolant to the required level and check the frost
protection.
• CAUTION: When working on running engines; loose clothing may be caught by rotating engine parts.

USE
1. Check the cooling system for leaks
• Remove the original cover from the radiator or expansion tank.
• Select the appropriate adapter from the test kit and connect it to the radiator or expansion
tank.
• Then connect the pump (1) to the adapter.
• Operate the test pump until a pressure of 10 to 15 psi is reached. (see fig. 1+2).
CAUTION : Avoid a pressure of 35 psi or more!
Check the pressure gauge. If the displayed value drops, the cooling system leaks. Leaks are
manifested by a pressure drop and water exiting at the leak site.
2. Check the radiator cover for leaks
• Remove the original radiator cover
• Choose the connection element (30 or 31) plus the appropriate plug to connect the pump
to the connection element. Connect the existing original radiator cover to the connection
element so that it is mounted as shown in fig. 3.
• Turn on the test pump several times and observe the pressure gauge to detect a possible
leak.
• Compare the measured pressure with the standard pressure values of the radiator cover
MAINTENANCE/STORAGE
•C
onnect the hand pump to the adapter. Operate the hand pump several times, this allows the
residual coolant to drain from the adapter.
• Pour a few drops of oil into the hand pump through the fitting to lubricate the piston.

and other important notes.
• Vehicle-specific data must be available for all tests; without this data, an incorrect diagnosis
cannot be ruled out.
