How to transfer a call to another number on a Mitel 6730?

To transfer a call to another number on your Aastra 673xi / 675xi (including Mitel 6730), follow these steps:

Press the Transfer soft key or the transfer button on the Aastra 6730i/6731i. On the Aastra 6753i, press the Up Arrow key. You will hear the internal dial tone. Your caller is placed on hold and hears hold music.
Dial the phone number of the desired internal contact.
- Transfer a call with announcement: If the contact answers, announce the call transfer to them. Then press the Transfer soft key or the transfer button on the Aastra 6730i/6731i. On the Aastra 6753i, press the Up Arrow key.
- Transfer a call without announcement: If you want to transfer the call without announcement, wait for the ringing tone. Then press the Transfer soft key or the transfer button on the Aastra 6730i/6731i. On the Aastra 6753i, press the Up Arrow key. The caller on hold will now hear the ringing tone for the transfer destination and will wait for the call to be answered.
